Enable transaction alerts on every account you ownMost banks allow you to set thresholds (e.g., alert on any transaction over $50, or all transactions). Choose a low threshold. You want to know immediately. Enable login alerts on all bank and credit card accountsSet alerts to notify you whenever someone logs in from a new device or location. This catches unauthorized access before fraud happens. Set alerts for failed login attemptsMultiple failed login attempts often signal someone trying to break into your account. Alert on 3+ failed attempts in a row. Verify your phone number on all banking appsAlerts won't reach you if your phone number is wrong.
